Wrong Jeremy Plays Haliburton Battle of the Bands Fundraiser
Wrong Jeremy is visiting Sarah's hometown!
The Battle of the Bands is a fundraiser for the Haliburton Junction Skate Park and a chance for musicians to showcase their talent.
This is an all ages show that will take place on Friday, February 24, 2017. The doors open at 6:30 pm and the show starts at 7:00 pm.
Tickets are $10 each or $12 at the door. A family rate is available for $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Children under 8 are free. Food and beer will be sold at the event.

Sarah (from Haliburton, ON) and Angie (a Torontonian), two friends and graduates from Queen’s university’s music program, both ended up in Toronto and wanted to be rockstars. And so, the search for some cool, rockstar-like band mates began.
As guitarists and bassists came and went, they finally found Preston. Preston St. Jules from Blind River, ON and a graduate from the Harris Institute played guitar like a boss. Turns out Preston also wanted to be a rockstar. It was perfect! We finally had a band! Wrong Jeremy was born!

In the Fall of 2017, Wrong Jeremy was in need of a bass player. After searching and searching, Sarah finally caved and asked the interwebs for a bass player and the interwebs answered! Well, Ali answered...he wrote us an email...regardless! A fourth rockstar had finally been located! Ali Abdelbadie hailing from Ottawa, ON had been in Toronto for less than two weeks and we scooped him up and claimed him as one of our own and we can’t wait for all of our WJ fans to meet this beast of a bassist!
Although we haven’t don’t have any wild stories yet like snorting lines of ants off the floor or being chased by Predator, we’ll get there.

Together, we are Wrong Jeremy, a four-piece old school, prog rock band with funk and blues undertones originating from Toronto. Comprised of front woman, Angie Bhatia (lead vocals, piano and rhythm guitar), Preston St. Jules (lead guitar), Sarah Varty (drums/back up vocals) and Ali Abdelbadie (bass guitar), Wrong Jeremy will leave you craving lyrical rock ballads, big funk grooves and wild rhythms! We have played shows at venues such as; The Horseshoe Tavern, The Rockpile, The Opera House and The Cameron House. Additionally, we played for Toronto's 5/4 Prog Fest 2017.
